Your Reiki session
During your session, you will be fully clothed and lie or sit in comfort with a blanket. You can choose whether you prefer hands-on healing on your chakra points or whether you prefer the hands to be held slightly above the body (you will still get as much healing and will feel the Reiki in the same way).
Afterwards, you will be invited into the Nostell Priory garden to ground and reconnect with a herbal tea and Scottish shortbread.

You will be contacted to arrange payment. Appointments are usually on a Saturday morning, or perhaps a weekday depending on availability. Please allow up to 2 hours for your first session. The Walled Garden Sanctuary is exclusive for you on the day of your session meaning that there will be no rush and you can fully relax.

Reiki: a history and its principles
Reiki is an ancient way of healing, founded in 1922 by the Japanese monk Mikao Usui. Over a 100-years-old, it is a magical universal healing technique. Reiki is used today by millions of Reiki practitioners around the world who have been attuned only through a Reiki master with a genuine lineage back up to Mikao Usui himself. The term ‘Reiki’ itself is even now listed in the Oxford Dictionary! – proof that it is growing in its popularity and its renowned healing effects.

By repeating these principles out loud or in our heads, we help to move our thoughts onto higher frequencies for happiness, fulfilment and healing.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei, which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power”, and Ki, which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”
